"Bloom" (2021) Acrylic on raised canvas Created as an homage to the beauty that grows from our roots.
"Inspired by Willow" (2021) Acrylic on canvas Breathless from the first time I saw the cover art for the self-titled album by Willow Smith. It needed to be captured on canvas. Inverted colors have always intrigued me, so I was excited to create something so striking.
"Una Flor para Linda" (2022) Acrylic on raised canvas "You are my sunshine" was sung regularly by my grandmother and me. She was my sunflower, and after her passing, it was only right to paint something in memory of my favorite person.
"Primarily Love" (2020) Acrylic on raised canvas The first painting to come out of quarantine. I loved the idea of creating monochromatic subjects that complemented each other, just like lovers should.
"When You Party" (2023) Acrylic on raised canvas I have always struggled with abstract art, but love using bold colors and shapes. I threw that love randomly on canvas. Viewing this painting should feel like a party.
"Untitled" (2021) Acrylic on raised canvas I'm obsessed with the ocean – everything about it, from its serenity to its storms. Cotton candy colored skies against the blue waves and striking lightning bolts bring the viewer's attention to the beauty in every moment that settles on the sea.
"From Hell to Help" (2023) Acrylic on raised canvas Under the pinks and purples of this painting, I had sketched an outline for a depression driven painting. As I climbed my way out of that dark place, I realized I couldn't finish that piece. Instead of erasing the marks, I chose to try my hand at an abstract representation of the hope and love that I felt as I overcame my depression. You can still see the graphite strokes under the painting, honoring the fact that I was down, but I didn't stay there.
"Untitled" (2017) Acrylic on canvas My first commissioned piece that I got in high school. The elephant's head is adorned with patterns that draw inspiration from beautiful henna and mandala designs.
"When They Pass" (2020) Acrylic on canvas This painting was completed out of the anger and hurt that I felt from the passing of my great- uncle. Unfortunately, he passed away at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic from cancer that he had fought for years. Rest in eternal peace, Uncle Waldo.
"LaRelle" (2021) Acrylic on canvas My first commissioned portrait. Thank you to LaRelle, who saw something in my artistic style that I had not yet seen for myself.
"Moon Shower" (2020) Acrylic on canvas I love the moon, stars, and everything cosmic. This painting was inspired by my, at the time, favorite song, Why iii love the moon by Phony Ppl.
"Motherland" (2021) Acrylic on canvas I wanted this piece to have hints of color from the pan-African flag (red, green, and black), to give homage to the Motherland. I chose to paint Africa behind the subject in metallic gold to honor its rich history and cultures.
"Home" (2025) Oil pastels on raised canvas The Caribbean runs through my veins. I am a St. Thomian on my father's side and wear my heritage with pride! I always feel most at peace on a beach at sunset, and I want viewers to feel that same peace when they look at this artwork. This was my first time using oil pastels in about 10 or more years.
"A Night in NOLA" (2023) Acrylic on canvas As I challenged myself to keep creating abstract art, I used various techniques to create broad brushstrokes and swirls in this painting. In the end, the colors and shapes remind me of the bold nightlife of New Orleans, Louisiana.
